Negative Space

Having “negative space” in an image is where you essentially have a large amount of space not contain anything that you consider to be a subject. In this case, the water in the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas is creating negative space. In this case, I used a wide angle lens and put the hotel building in the top third of the photograph.
