Reflection of National Gallery – as shot
Reflection of National Gallery – inverted to be upside down

The sun was shining  right after a downpour in front of The National Gallery at Trafalgar Square in London and it gave me the perfect opportunity to take pictures of reflections.  I was composing this photo of The National Gallery reflecting off the sidewalks when a man walked directly into the frame.   This turned out to be one of my favourite photos of all time…serendipity.

For the second image, a friend pointed out that when flipped upside down, it looks pretty cool – like an oil painting. It’s pretty rare that I get 2 great images out of a single click of the shutter.
